The Oregon State Fair is committed to really "throwing out the welcome mat." In our quest to do so, here are services to assist you as you attend the State Fair.
ADA Accommodations
There are numerous handicapped accessible restrooms located throughout the grounds. Please refer to the map here for exact locations. Accessible parking is at all gates. The Fair is happy to provide other accommodations such as signing for the hearing impaired, but requires 72 hours’ advance notice. Please call the Fair office at 503-947-3247 or 1-800-833-0011.
ATMs
There are 12 ATMs in various locations on the fairgrounds for your convenience. Please refer to the map here. Note that the ATMs will charge you a fee in addition to any fee charged by your own bank. If an ATM is not functioning, please report its location to the Fair Information Booth.
Auto Service presented by M & M Auto Wrecking and Towing
Keys locked in your car? Dead battery? No problem. M & M Towing will provide free lock outs and jumpstarts to fairgoers. Notify any Oregon State Fair parking attendant for assistance. Note: This service is available in Fair-owned parking lots only.
Baby Service and Diaper Changing
The Fair provides a clean, quiet location near the Information Booth to feed and change your baby. There is a limited supply of wipes and disposable diapers for emergencies. Please help us by disposing of soiled diapers in the proper containers.
Public Safety
The Oregon State Police maintains an office on the grounds and the Fair provides security personnel for the grounds and for the paid concerts. All emergency concerns should be directed to security, Fair personnel or the staff at the Information Booth.
First Aid
The First Aid Station is located at the north entrance/exit of the Jackman-Long Building and is staffed with professional emergency medical technicians.
Information Station
You may obtain any changes in program schedules at the Information Booth staffed by our friendly Fair Guides. The Information Booth is located just west of the Natural Resources Center.
Lost and Found
Lost and found items can be retrieved at the Fair’s Security Office located on the northwest corner of the Amphitheatre. Found items should be turned in to the Information Booth. Items unclaimed after the end of the Fair (Sept. 4) will be moved to the Oregon State Fair office on 17th Street.
Lost Parents
Parents and guardians are encouraged to immediately contact the police, security or Fair personnel to report a missing child. The Lost Parents Booth located just west of the Information Booth (the same location as the Baby and Diaper Changing Tent) is where lost children are entertained.
Maps and Directions
A map of the fairgrounds is available here, and directions to the fair are here. An enlarged map is posted at the Information Booth. The Fair Guides in the Information Booth can provide directions and updated program schedule changes.
Message Center
Personal messages may be left at the Information Booth located just west of the Natural Resources Center.
Salem-Keizer Transit
Salem-Keizer Transit will once again provide FREE shuttle service to the Oregon State Fair. From August 24 through September 3, fairgoers can park free in the Marion Parkade, and on weekends in the State Red Lot at Marion and Capitol Streets. Every 15 minutes, buses will pick up passengers at those locations, and at the downtown Transit Mall. The shuttle will drop off and pick up passengers at the Jackman Long Building at the fair. The first shuttle bus leaves the Marion Parkade daily at 8:15 a.m. The last shuttle leaves the fair at 10:13 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 11:28 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Parking in the State Red Lot will only be available on weekends and on Labor Day. The exact schedules are posted at the stops and on the web sites of both the State Fair and the Salem Area Transit.
Parking Lot Trams presented by Les Schwab Tires
Complimentary trams are available in most Fair-owned parking lots to shuttle patrons to and from the lots. For your safety, please listen carefully to the instructions given by your tram driver or host.
Wheelchair and Strollers
Wheelchairs and motorized scooters are available for rent at a new location this year just inside the Pink Gate at the handicapped parking area (located at the South end of the grounds). Availability is based on a first come, first-served basis. Prices: Manual - $3 per hour (not to exceed $15); electric - $9 per hour (not to exceed $45). Children’s strollers are available for rent by the Girl Scouts. Their rental location is on the west side of the Horse Stadium.
Safety Measures
To insure the safety and enjoyment of all Fair patrons, participants, volunteers, contractors and employees, the Oregon State Fair may require inspection of all carry-in items: purses, backpacks, briefcases, suitcases, athletic bags, duffel bags, coolers, ice chests, picnic baskets, diaper bags, strollers, packages, containers and other similar products capable of concealing prohibited items.
