STIHL® TIMBERSPORTS® Series
The STIHL® TIMBERSPORTS® Series presented by Carhartt, the original extreme sport, will be celebrating its 25th anniversary at the 2010 Oregon State Fair.
ESPN cameras have followed the STIHL® TIMBERSPORTS® Series for 25 years, earning the STIHL® TIMBERSPORTS® Series the distinction of being the one of the longest running programs on the network. Only SportsCenter has been on the air longer.
The STIHL® TIMBERSPORTS® Series quarterfinals, semifinals and U.S. Championships will span the three-day event challenging lumberjacks in six chopping and sawing disciplines: hot saw, single buck, springboard chop, standing block chop, stock saw and underhand chop to determine which competitors advance to the 2010 STIHL® TIMBERSPORTS® Series World Championships presented by Carhartt in Austria Friday, Sept. 3 - Sunday, Sept. 5. Over the course of the three-day event in Oregon, the Professional Series will also feature two specialty disciplines, the boom run and speed climb.

The 2010 STIHL® TIMBERSPORTS® Collegiate Series presented by Carhartt will also culminate during the Oregon State Fair. This national competition pits five regional collegiate champions, plus a wild card competitor, against one another in four professional disciplines: single buck, standing block chop, stock saw and underhand chop with the top contender earning the title of 2010 STIHL® TIMBERSPORTS® Collegiate Series champion and an automatic ticket to the 2011 STIHL® TIMBERSPORTS® Professional Series where they will compete among the professional ranks.
