4-H & FFA
Head. Heart. Hands. Health. Four small words that mean big things to 4-H members. 4-Her’s have hundreds of exhibits to display. FFA students also compete to become an Oregon State Fair Champion.
FINE ART
From oils to watercolors, sculptures to calligraphy, we celebrate Oregon artists and their boundless creativity. Categories for the All-Oregon Art Annual include Professional Art, Amateur Art, Student and Youth Art, Juried, Non-Juried and Student Calligraphy.
FARM & GARDEN
From fruits and vegetables to bonsai and flowers, farmers and gardeners keep a good thing growing. See what Oregonians have cultivated or show off your green thumb.
PHOTOGRAPHY
Picture this: gifted Oregon photographers competing in the International Exhibition of Photography, the Oregon Salon of Photography and Student and Youth categories.
FLORAL
Watch your hard work blossom. Enter your best blooms in the Floral competition, and watch the excitement grow.
CREATIVE LIVING
Baked goods, preserves, decorated cakes, hobbies, quilts, textiles and on-site food competitions. Here’s your chance to make it official by showing your 'stuff' in Creative Living.
HORSE SHOW
The Oregon State Fair Horse Show is one of the biggest horse shows this side of the Mississippi. Housed in the historic Stadium, the Horse Show features competitions of more than 15 different horse breeds, including the very popular draft horses.
FAIR TIME
Fair Time means good times. Seriously fun competitions; annual Watermelon Seed Spitting Competition, the Watermelon Seed Spitting Contest and more! You don’t need an entry form, just a sense of fun.
GRILL OFFS
Amateur grill offs begin at participating county fairs in Oregon. Top grillers from around the state will compete for great prizes and statewide bragging rights!
LIVESTOCK
Take stock of the livestock in the Bud Forster Livestock Pavilion and Beef Barn. Check out dairy cattle, sheep, goats, hogs, llamas and baby animals. Visit the milking parlor and meet an Oregon Dairy Princess. Or enter these head-to-head (or horn-to-horn) contests.
SCIENCE
Do you have a passion for science? The 2010 Science Competition offers Middle School Students (grades 6, 7, and 8) and Grade School Students (grades 3, 4, and 5) the chance to showcase your project and win great prizes.
SMALL ANIMALS
All creatures small and smaller are rounded up for these competitions, including rabbits, poultry, cavies (guinea pigs), pigeons and doves.
TALENT SEARCH

BEER
Homebrewers of all levels to compete for top awards! Do you brew the best beer in Oregon? Put on your name on the label and join the fun in our outstanding amateur beer competition.
WINE
Will your wine be declared fine? Professional and amateur winemakers are invited to have their wines sniffed, tasted and scored by the judges.
