Homebrew Competition
August 9 - How does your homebrew beer stack-up against the competition? The 2008 Oregon State Fair will hold its’ annual Homebrew Beer Competition on Saturday August 9, 2008 in the Floral Building. From popular ales to a variety of specialty beers, the competition is sure to attract home brewers throughout Oregon.
The Oregon State Fair Home Brew competition sanctioned by the American Homebrewers Association (AHA) and by the Beer Judge Certification Program (BJCP). The entry deadline is Wednesday July 30, 2008.
Join us for the awards ceremony scheduled for Saturday August 30, 2008 during the Oregon State Fair!

- 1:00pm-3:00pm - Homebrew 101: presented by the Heart of the Valley Homebrew Club
- 3:00pm-4:00pm - State of Beer: presented by Brian Butenschoen from the Oregon Brewers Guild

Amateur Wine Competition
July 23 and July 24 - The Oregon Amateur Wine competition judging is held in July with blue, red, and white ribbons to award within the seven category classifications. One blue ribbon award winner will be presented for the Amateur Best of Show at Celebration Oregon!

Professional Wine Competition
July 30 and July 31 - Judging of the Professional Wine competition also held in July, and awards will be presented to all placing wineries at Celebration Oregon! Judges will award gold, silver, and bronze medals.
Wines are tasted “blind” by our distinguished panel of judges including wine columnists, retailer, food & beverage directors, wine industry members and experienced sommeliers.
