GPS Treasure Hunts - Geography Contests
Where in Oregon Competition
In partnership with My Wonderful World (a National Geographic-led campaign), this exciting competition will promote geographic awareness. Where in Oregon is Fair-based as well as web-based, and includes high resolution pictures of locations in Oregon. Participating Fair goers will guess the locations. Prizes are to be announced.
Oregon State Fair Geocaching Adventure
Bring your GPS to the Oregon State Fair and find the geocache listed each day. A new set of Geocache coordinates will be posted in the 4-H building each morning! Creative, funny, and exciting prizes are in store for geocachers at the Oregon State Fair.
To register for Oregon State Fair Geocaching Adventure you may come to the office in the 4-H Exhibit Building and sign-in to take part in the activity while at the fair. If you want to register before fair, contact your local county Extension office and they will forward your name, address and phone number to the State 4-H Office which is helping to coordinate this event.
