Pacific NW Best BBQ! - Professional Level Competition
Friday-Sunday, August 28-30th - Pacific NW BBQ Association presents . . . The 3rd Annual NW Best BBQ Competition - On Friday, August 28th, 25 professional cooking teams took over the north end of Picnic Grove at the Oregon State Fair. Brought to you by the Pacific Northwest BBQ Association in cooperation with the Oregon State Fair, and sponsored by Diamante Spas, professional barbeque teams - from 15 western states - battled for three days and three nights against each other in a battle for BIG prize money.

Saturday, August 28, 2010 from 10 am to 4 pm - near the Floral Garden - County Fair to State Fair Competition
The 2010 Oregon State Fair will play host to “Foster Farms Big Cluck Grill-off” featuring cooking teams from 16 county fair’s battling for statewide bragging rights and great prizes on Saturday August 28th. Enter to compete at your county fair for the winning prize of representing your county at the State Fair.

ADVANCING TO STATE FAIR Each county fair’s 1st place winning entry will automatically qualify to represent their county at the Oregon State Fair Championship to be held Saturday, August 28th near the Floral Gardens. The County Fairs 2nd place winning entry will be the alternative contestant in the case that the 1st place winner is unable to compete.

The 2010 Oregon State Fair will play host to “Big Cluck Grill-off” featuring cooking teams from county fairs battling for statewide bragging rights and great prizes on Saturday August 28, 2010. Cooking teams with their grilling equipment will be located on the north end of the Floral Garden. Just beyond the grilling competition area, visitors will enjoy wine patio with live entertainment in the floral garden.

3rd Annual Painted Hills Natural Beef Backyard Grilling Contest
Sunday, August 29th, 2010 near the Floral Garden - County Fair to State Fair Competition - The Oregon State Fair is proud to announce the Painted Hills Natural Beef Grilling Contest. Painted Hills Natural Beef has generously agreed to sponsor this fun and exciting competition that will begin at participating County Fairs and culminate at the Oregon State Fair competition on Sunday, August 29th, 2010 near the Floral Garden. Grilling teams will be provided with Painted Hills Natural Beef for grilling, team gifts and great prizes at all participating Counth Fairs and the Oregon State Fair!
ADVANCING TO STATE FAIR Each County Fairs 1st place winning entry will automatically qualify to represent their County at the Oregon State Fair Championship. The County Fairs 2nd place winning entry will be the alternative contestants, in the case that the 1st place team is unable to compete. Entries will be received on a first come, first served basis.
The “Painted Hills Grill Team” will travel across Oregon this summer to county fairs to help coordinate with participants and county fair officials in the competition. Please contact your local County Fair for participation and contest information.

State Fair Championship Competition Floral Garden
Sunday, August 29th from 10 am to 4 pm - The 2010 Oregon State Fair will play host to “Painted Hills Natural Beef Grilling Contest” featuring cooking teams from county fairs battling for statewide bragging rights and great prizes on Sunday August 29th, 2009.
Just beyond the grilling competition area, visitors will enjoy the wine patio with wine tasting and the Hart of the Garden.
A special thanks goes to Painted Hills Natural Beef for their generous support and help with coordinating the grilling events. Painted Hills is providing participating counties and the State Fair with their great natural beef products for grilling and all categories of prizes.
