Temporary Employment
There is a wide variety of temporary positions available for persons to support the 2013 Oregon State Fair, from August 23 through September 2, 2013. Temporary jobs range from ticket taking to parking lot attendants, customer service workers to cashiers, hospitality workers, litter/recycling team, and event set-up and support. All are needed for a few weeks in preparation and during the annual event.
Temporary employment for the 2013 Oregon State Fair is made available through Manpower. Applications will be accepted from 8 am to 5 pm and can be found online, or by visiting their office at:

The Oregon Employment Department State Fair Jobs
Individuals looking for temporary employment can find several possibilities at this year's Oregon State Fair.
Commercial Exhibitors, Food Concessionaires, Carnival and other Vendors are looking for job seekers ages 16 and over (must be 16 by August 23, 2013) to work their food concession booths, game and ride operators for the carnival, exhibitor and demonstration booths, and more! Most jobs need little or no experience.
The WorkSource Oregon Employment Trailer will NOT be located at the Oregon State Fairgrounds in August 2013.
WorkSource Oregon Employment Department is pleased to offer a new online process for job applicants this year.
All State Fair Jobs will be posted in iMatchSkills starting in August. To apply for a State Fair job, come in person to the WorkSource Oregon Salem office located at 605 Cottage Street NE to register in iMatchSkills, or go to www.WorkingInOregon.org and login to create an account in iMatchSkills. Be sure to add "Amusement and Recreation Attendants" to the Occupations section of your account. After you have completed registering, click on "Match Me to Jobs" and "view" the information to obtain application instructions.

All applicants need to register in iMatchSkills to be considered for a State Fair position for any of the vendors and exhibitors mentioned above. If you do not have internet access from your home, computers are available at your local WorkSource Oregon Employment Office for your use.

Volunteers receive a T-shirt to be worn as a uniform for all Fair time volunteer assignments AND a FREE Fair Admission ticket for every 4 hours of service (maximum of 8 tickets).
