Friday, August 24–Monday, September 3 1:30, 3:30, and 5:30 p.m. West of Pavilion FREE with fair admission Imagine dogs launching off of a dock into a 19,000 gallon pool of water and effortlessly landing jumps of more than 25 feet. Dog lovers are in for a real treat at this year’s Oregon State Fair, as world-class canines and their top trainers demonstrate some of the most popular canine sports during the Purina Dog Show taking place August 24-September 3, 2007 at the Oregon State Fair Grounds in Salem. Watch these dogs leap, soar, and dive, as they demonstrate their unlimited abilities in sports like freestyle flying disc, high jump, agility and the crowd favorite—dog diving. This show, which happens daily at 1:30, 3:30 and 5:30p.m, features non-stop action along with some surprise canine comedy and other unique canine entertainment that will be fun for the whole family. |
Headlining the daring dog acts is a beautiful rescued Greyhound named Soaring Cindy, who holds the current Guinness World Record for High Jump. At the Purina Incredible Dog Challenge Finals in 2006, Cindy successfully cleared a jump set at 68 inches and secured her place in the record books. During the Purina Dog Show, Cindy will not only demonstrate her incredible leaping abilities, but she will also show off her “all-around” skills by taking a run through the agility obstacle course. From Border Collies to Jack Russell Terriers, the Purina Dog Show will highlight dogs of all sizes, shapes and breeds to show that any household pet can turn into an unbelievable canine athlete with good nutrition, proper training and lots of love!

Watch these talented porkers as they ham-dunk, skateboard, and play soccer, golf, bowling, and football. A session to meet and greet the pigs will follow each performance. |
