ADA Accommodations

There are numerous handicapped accessible restrooms located throughout the grounds. Please refer to the map here for exact locations. Accessible parking is at all gates. The Fair is happy to provide other accommodations, such as signing for the hearing impaired, but requires 72 hours advance notice. Please call the Fair office at 503-947-3247 or toll-free at 1-800-833-0011.

The Oregon State Fair will adhere to the following policy regarding Patrons with disabilities admissions for the 2009 Fair: If a fair patron needs an attendant in order to navigate and enjoy the fair, the patron will pay the regular admission price and the attendant will be admitted at no charge.

ADA Accommodations (Concerts Pavilion & LB Day)

Concerts in the L.B. Day Amphitheatre are accessible by wheelchair.  Wheelchair seating is in front of sections Red 1 and 4 plus in front of the Yellow Sections C and E.  When ordering concert tickets, please mention disabled seating requirements needed.  Seating is limited, so one disabled individual and one companion are allow in these areas.  Relocation requests at the concert will not be located premium seating areas, please mention your needs when purchasing tickets for best seats available.

ATMs

For your convenience, there are 12 ATMs in various locations on the Fairgrounds. Please refer to the map here. All ATMs are subject to an additional fee which may be in addition to the one charged by your own bank. If an ATM is not functioning, please report it to the Fair Information Booth, located near the Natural Resource Center. .

Auto Service - presented by M & M Auto Wrecking and Towing

Keys locked in your car? Dead battery? No problem. M & M Towing will provide free lock outs and jumpstarts to fairgoers. Notify any Oregon State Fair parking attendant for assistance. Note: This service is available in Fair-owned parking lots only.

Baby Stroller Rentals

Children’s strollers are available for rent by the Girl Scouts. The rental location is on the southwest side of the Horse Stadium. Prices are as follows: $2/hour with a $2 minimum fee. Requires a $10 deposit and one piece of ID. Strollers not returned by closing can be turned in at Information Station or Security Office Location. (Hours: 11am – closing.)

Baby Feeding and Diaper Changing

The Oregon State Fair provides a clean, quiet location near the Information Booth to feed and change your baby. There is a limited supply of wipes and disposable diapers for emergencies. Please help us by disposing of soiled diapers in proper containers. Stroller Rental - Children's strollers are available for rent by the Girl Scouts. Their rental location is on the west side of the Horse Stadium.

New "Chill-out" Room

Located in the Columbia Hall (across from the Hart Building entrance).  For families who have loved ones that become over stimulated during the Fair, we offer a room of peace and serenity to sit, relax, have a sip of water, and chill out. Families who have members with autism, or any other types of disabilities are encouraged to visit the chill out room.

Dogs

For safety reasons only service animals are allowed on the fairgrounds during the fair. Vehicles will be towed if animals are left in them; this is for their safety due to the summer heat. Any animal on fairgrounds shall be on a leash not more than six feet long and kept under physical control at all times; the owner is responsible for the animal's behavior and its wastes while on grounds. If a pet is found running loose on grounds the animal may be transported to the local dog authorities. 

First Aid

The First Aid Station is located at the north entrance/exit of the Jackman-Long Building and is staffed during all hours of the fair with professional emergency medical technicians. Report any First Aid needs to security, Fair personnel or at the Information Booth for assistance and directions to the First Aid Station.

Information Booth

Ask questions, obtain information and get updates on any changes in the Fair program schedule at the Information Booth staffed by our friendly Fair Guides. The Information Booth is located just west of the Natural Resources Center.

Lost and Found

Lost and found items can be retrieved at the Fair’s Security Office located on the northwest corner of the Amphitheatre. Found items should be turned in to the Information Booth. Items unclaimed after the end of the Fair (Sept. 7-Labor Day) will be moved to the Oregon State Fair office on 17th Street.

Lost Parents - sponsored by Farmers Insurance

Parents and guardians should immediately contact a state police officer located on grounds, Fair security or Fair Personnel to report a missing child. The Lost Parents Booth is located just west of the Information Booth (the same location as the Baby and Diaper Changing Station). Lost children are entertained and taken care of until parents are located. You may want to point this location out to your children just after you arrive at the Fair. Be safe and communicate!

Farmers Insurance will be at the booth providing digitial I.D.’s for your children, as well as providing educational information about their m.i.l.k. (Managing Information on Lost Kids) program.   In the event of an emergency the m.i.l.k. digitial I.D. can immediately be forwarded to local authorities and the National Center for Missing and Exploited children. It has been referred to as the first step in the national Amber Alert plan.

You will find Farmers Insurance next to the Lost Parents Booth from August 22-24, 2008. On Monday August 25th until the end of Fair Farmers will be bringing in their emergency trailer which is used around Oregon during any catastrophic events. They will be passing out digital I.D’s from this site.

Message Center

Personal messages may be left at the Information Booth, located just west of the Natural Resources Center.

Free Fair Shuttle

Save time, gas and the environment by taking the FREE State Fair Shuttle to and from the State Fairgrounds. The route and the schedule should suit anyone wanting to get to the Oregon State Fair without all the hassle of traffic and parking at the fairgrounds. The FREE Fair Shuttle departs from Chemeketa Community College every 20 minutes every day during the State Fair, from August 28nd through September 7th.

Public Safety

The Oregon State Police maintains an office on the grounds and the Fair provides security personnel during the Fair and during paid concerts. Direct all emergency concerns to security, Fair personnel or at the Information Booth (located near the Natural Resource Center).

Parking Lot Trams - presented by Les Schwab Tires

Complimentary trams are available in most Fairgrounds parking lots to shuttle patrons to and from the lots. For your safety, please listen carefully to the instructions given by your tram driver or host.

Safety Measures and Security Inspections

To insure the safety and enjoyment of all Fair patrons, participants, volunteers, contractors and employees, the Oregon State Fair may require inspection of carry-in items such as purses, backpacks, briefcases, suitcases, athletic bags, duffel bags, coolers, ice chests, picnic baskets, diaper bags, strollers, packages, containers and other similar products capable of concealing prohibited items. Please leave all unnecessary items at home or secured and out-of-sight in your vehicle. OAR 622-055.

Wheelchair and Scooter Rentals

Wheelchairs and motorized scooters are available for rent at a new location this year just inside the Pink Gate at the handicapped parking area (located at the South end of the grounds). Availability is limited, and will be on a first come, first-served basis. Prices are as follows: Manual $3 per hour not to exceed $15 per day, Electric $9 per hour not to exceed $45 per day.

FedEx Office Center

The FedEx Office Center will be located just East of Americraft Center. Fax, copy, print, and email service will be available to all vendors and Fair patrons.
